Confession: I have been watching "Dickinson", about the life of Emily Dickinson.

This tv series Dickinson, has inspired me to write. I have for about 15 years posted things I found that others say what I would say or write. Emily grew up in Massassachusettes, 1830 to 1856. During her lifetime only 10 of her poems were published. Upon her death her sister found around 1800 poems Emily had written. How many of us withhold our inner Divine truth, for fear of ridicule. In Emily's life women were not allowed to express what they think, feel or believe. Could not own property, could not be single, ideas about life ridiculed. It was easier to just keep quite. In the series Dickinson, there is a made up story about her father Edward writing an essay about the proper place of women. Digging down to my inspiration is due to this fake essay Edward never wrote. Anything can be an inspiration, whether true or not. The challenge is to express the Divine within, without causing harm.
